Overview
Doseful ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered weight loss and nutrition tracking application. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Account info: Email address, name, and password (hashed) when you create an account.
- Health data: Weight, height, age, sex, activity level, and nutrition goals you enter during onboarding.
- Food logs: Meals you log including food names, calories, and macronutrients.
- Weight logs: Weight entries you record over time.
- Water intake: Hydration entries you log.
- GLP-1 data: If you choose to enable GLP-1 tracking: medication name, dose, injection site, and side effects.
- Lab data: Biomarker results, units, source labels, and collection dates from CSV files you choose to import.
- Product routines: Feel Great products and servings you choose to log.
- Photos: Food photos you take are sent to our AI for analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and not stored on our servers after analysis.
- Coach conversations: Messages between you and the AI coach are stored to provide conversation history.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide the core app functionality: tracking, analysis, and AI coaching.
- To calculate personalized nutrition targets (TDEE, protein goals).
- To show you progress trends and insights.
- To improve the AI food recognition accuracy.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not share your health data with advertisers.
- We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
- We do not store food photos after analysis is complete.
Third-Party Services
- Convex: Cloud database for storing your account and tracking data.
- OpenRouter / Google Gemini: AI services for food photo analysis and coaching. Food photos and coach messages are sent to these services for processing.
- Open Food Facts: Barcode product database (no personal data is shared).
- Rythm Health: Doseful links to Rythm Health Records, but does not receive account credentials or retrieve records directly. CSV data is imported only when you select a file.
- UFeelGreat / Unicity: Doseful links to public product profiles. No health data is shared when displaying product information.
- Vercel: Web hosting platform.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely in Convex cloud infrastructure. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption.
Your Rights
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- You can export your tracking data.
- You can choose not to enable GLP-1 tracking features.
- You control what data you log — all entries are voluntary.
Children's Privacy
Doseful is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Medical Disclaimer
Doseful is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The AI coach offers general nutrition and wellness guidance only. Always consult your healthcare provider regarding lab results, supplements, your weight loss plan, and any medications.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
